Current obesession: watches

For a few months i've been harbouring a fantasy relationship with men's luxury watches. Strong, bold and timeless, the watches i fancy are massive and incongruously expensive. Yet, they remain an (practical!) accessory that could frighten any ring, bracelet or necklace. These watches are like the bully accessory. Confused? Ok, let's say you put on an amazing outfit, like a pair of ragged boyfriend jeans, a light baby pink cashmere 3/4 sleeve t-shirt (preferably not too fitted), 4 1/2 inch heels and a vintage fur, let's say. How do you accessories your ensemble? I suppose you could do the long chain pendant (overkill... and played out!). You could garnish your paws with an array of fantastic rings (too expected...). You could even do the amazing oversized pendant earings we've seen resurging everywhere in the past 2 seasons. OR. You could simply make your fabulous accoutrement complete with a simple pair of pearl earings and (BINGO!) a stunning timepiece. How good does that sound? Still confused by my attributing the word "bully" to describe a big fat (or phat!) ticker? Cause it kicks all the other accessories' asses!

I myself prefer the sizeable men's watches. I don't know, something about a massive luxurious watch says: "i'm the king of all accessories in her entire repertoire! She doesn't need anything else on her wrists cause i'm plenty!". I also believe that a masculine ticker reveals one's coolness. Women's watches are just as beautiful, timeless and abovre all very dainty. But sporting a grand piece of male mechanism on your left wrist? How unexpected! Kind of like when you give a boy name your newborn daughter, like "Hunter" or "Mackenzie", how hot is that?! (Not gonna lie, i think my analogy here is spot-on). Although if you're more of a feminine type, which there is nothing wrong with btw, don't try to pull off the bulky male wrist adornment and stick to your instincts. Ultimately, you want to stay true to who you are, seeing as a watch can say a lot about someone... Think about it: subtle yet strong, showy and tacky, showy and bold, classic and quiet, practical and sobre, you catch my drift...

Anyway, after months of being on the lookout for my ideal watch, i found on that made my heart stop, no pun intended. There it was, fitting all my requirements: brown crocodile wrist band, gold frame, classic and vintage-looking at the same time. It was just gorgeous. I'm so lucky to have a boyfriend who listens, because upon christmas eve as we were exchanging gifts, there it was, sitting in its case shining right at me, flashing its big round come hither body right at me. Although the wrist band was a darker brown and the rim was silver, a love connection was made instantly. It's the exact one here right above. My outfits have never looked better since.

Here a few others that make me swoon (i've included some affordable ones to avoid being accused of discrimintation):
