Fashion Over Reason: Out of the dark

Out of the dark

Once in a while, an editorial will come around and it will just blow you away. It will become instilled in your mind as one of the most outstanding spreads you've seen and you'll store it in your memory as a bar you'll hold up all other editorials to. This is precisely what happened with a particular series shot by Mario Testino that appeared in British Vogue back in 08, featuring Daria and Lily in the Himalayas (or something looking quite like it). I was so pleased to see the images on Fashion Gone Rogue today, and it left me breathless - again.

i was JUST looking at this editorial the other day in my collection (obviously LOL!) and I TOTALLY agree with you: one of my all-time favourites because of the models, the rich and vibrant colours and the setting.

Everything about this editorial is just perfect and inevitably strikes a chord in me of how i wish i could travel: stylish and frivolously all at the same time :) I love dreaming of visiting places that are at once exotics and rife with colours, like the spice markets of Morocco or the tapestry markets in south america....

one of the best ever. when i had my old tns header i took a lot of the images in my letters from this editorial in fact!
so pretty, such great textures and colours. and of course lily and daria,
i believe that it was shot in peru, so magical! and completely unforgettable.
