Every time i visit my mother, i leave with a few treasures that were buried deep in her closet. She always says "look, this is back in style, but if i wear it, i just look like an old lady wearing her old stuff!", which always makes me chuckle, cause, well, let's be honest, she has a point. Then i proceed to gladly take all those things off her hands. Case in point: the top and that belt. Thanks mom, love you!

I know that this editorial is going to make the rounds in the blogosphere, but i simply had to post and write about this. When i saw these images, it immediately brought me back to 1997, after Cher Horowitz's influence had spread like wildfire and when Clueless, the tv series, came out. I vividly remember sifting through my september 'Teen magazine and being so taken with an editorial that bore a striking similarity in colors, styling and setting to these Georgia May photos. This is pure nostalgia for me. And isn't it just a little bit ironic that miss Jagger was only a toddler then? Plus it's kind of making me itch for fall fashion, believe it or not.
I was just reading an article in July's Vogue about how girls are starting to gravitate towards a more polished form of dressing, which just felt so relevant after the grunge and gothic overload of the past two years. I've always had a special appreciation for an unfussy and clean look and always strongly considered refinement was achieved via subtlety. Lauren Santo Domingo also apparently subscribes to that school of thought.
Olga Sherer has long been a favorite model of mine and although she's been a catwalk staple for quite a few years now, we don't see her in enough editorials. There's just something special about her face and that fiery hair.
Ashley looking every bit the mogul she is. And style icon, of course. Although she seems to have recently veered in a different sartorial direction, her former minimalism and polished lines still deeply resonate with me.
Ok so i know i haven't done an outfit post in super long, but here is one now! This is one of the tops i recently picked up in nyc and had the occasion to wear it at my friend's restaurant opening the other night. I instantly fell in love with it cause it had a very feminine and vintage feel and it's the softest silk ever.
Everything about this girl is extremely alluring: her effortless and incredibly chic look (hello navy & black - SWOON!), her warm chestnut hair, her flawless milky complexion, her green eyes, her willowy frame. I don't know who she is, but she looks very Parisian and that is definitely something to strive for!
Hey guys, i'm so sorry for being a bad blogger recently! I'm still trying to adjust to my new schedule with my new job and i've had a lot going on recently, but should be getting my groove back shortly. In the meantime, how AMAZING does Dajana look?! She looks a lot like Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, and that's always a good thing.
There's something very confrontational yet very touching about this photograph. I was immediately drawn to its dark and aggressive tone, but there's also an undeniable sensuality to it. I love these kinds of dualities, they offer a deeper meaning, something beyond the surface.
