L'amour
This fall 11/12 show season sort of failed to really titillate me, which comes as a disappointment because fall is usually my favorite fashion season. Blame it on my northern roots, but i find the clothes are typically a lot more interesting, luxurious and detailed, and make for absolutely captivating take-your-breath-away shows. Was it maybe because the previous spring season was so strong that autumn had to be even greater than usual? Or is it because my head's not there yet? I highly doubt the latter - my head's always there! Who knows, but one show that DID manage to leave me breathless was Proenza Schouler. The way they married femininity, the Four Corners and evening with navajo prints, seamlessly proving such a mix could be completely luxurious and refined was pretty genius. Every single look that went down the catwalk was an affair of extreme lust and showcased that this design duo is nothing short of absolutely brilliant. Not only visually interesting as a whole, but the way everything moved and how engaging every piece was once you picked apart the collection, complete with accessories that would make me reconsider my life priorities. Tommy Ton (aah, Tommy!) was invited to shoot backstage, giving us a more in-depth look, thus making me fall even harder. Not reposting these would have been a sacrilege! Poetic fashion musing over.

Amazing shots! Fabulous colors and prints. I agree, fall fashion is much more spectacular and interesting than spring fashion. As for next season, I can't say I didn't enjoy some shows, but I guess there weren't any big surprises there. Have a lovely weekend! Ada
all around nothing has been really wow'ing me or inspiring me, but that single porenza schouler dress is pretty damn fantastic.
