While we're currently experienecing our very first heat wave of the season (the mercury currently indicates 96F/36C), my full on pastel outfit couldn't come at a better time. It's always been my school of thought that pastel shades look particularly good on blondes, but i swear this was totally unintentional and happened completely organically -- i wasn't even feeling pastel-y that day but i threw stuff on and it felt good. So here i am, chillin' at the Columbus Circle fountain.

It's a scorcher your guys: starting yesterday, we'll be seeing temps in the 90's F (30's C) for the next week or so. I sense a lot of feelings of displeasure from most people, but contrary to the masses, i am reveling in this extreme warmth that so many deem a terrible infliction. Heat wave, you're finally here!
So to keep cool and refreshed, have a gander below at my favorite editorial from StyleBy magazine's latest issue. It was StyledBy (hehe) Columbine, of course. Simply gorgeous, completely flawless.

Speaking of summer... how apropos are these postcard print Sophia Webster sandals? I wouldn't mind looking down at my feet and seeing these. Get them here!

So this skort is entering overkill territory (i meannnn, who doesn't have it yet?!) but it's just proving to be the piece of the season. It's truly one of the most versatile garments in my closet right now. Anyway, with a new season comes the inevitable desire for refreshing new items that will make your old things feel new again. It's almost imperative. I was in dire need of a flat footwear update and found these Loeffler Randall sandals to fill that craving void. They're classic but have a hint of silver, which happens to be über trendy at the moment... however, never one to slave over trends, metallic also happens to be totally timeless. And with a weather forecast of 90's F (that's 35 ish C)for the next 5 days, we should all say it in unison, at last: WELCOME, SUMMER!

Looking good, KK! You may have noticed that i've had a thing for red recently, whether clothing or lips (teehee!) but in this case, there really is no other commentary than this one word: S T U N N I N G.

Ok, so i've been lusting over these Chanel espadrilles since last summer but i'm now more than ever seriously thinking about going for it...

My people know that i like my minis. The shorter, the better. However, now that i'm pushing 30 (ughhhhh), i feel like certain crotch-grazing lengths are just inappropriate. Even though i can still probably still pull them off (muahahaaha), i simply feel too, er, old? Anyway..... In recent years, i've come to warm up to longer skirt silhouettes and i can now firmly say that i feel completely at ease in them. Take for instance this look below worn by beauty Daria Strokous: doesn't she look fresh and chic, with that slight off-duty egde? I am in love!

It is most definitely safe to say that i often change style moods. While they always have the common thread of simplicity, my different sartorial personas can range from sporty, to gritty, to girl next door, to rock 'n roll. The other day i was feeling a little bit rockish. Strangely (or not), i was inspired by the snake print trim of my Whistles Spritzer peep toes (on sale!) -- see below -- and put together something dark: a loose sleeveless tee with Bruce's face on it, an old pair of raggedy shorts i made from my former roommate's old dress pants and some quilted leather, then proceeded to make my eyes overdose on kohl. Voilà!
