My man and i always talk about how spoiled we are living in NYC. For all the obvious reasons, clearly, but for us it mostly has to do with food. You see, outside of fashion, food is at the top of my list in terms of interests and what makes me tick. We LOVE food. I love to cook, i love to bake, one of our greatest pleasures is sharing an amazing meal at our favorite restaurants, or discovering new delicious places to break bread. There are also always all sorts of awesome food events happening around the city, like Lobster Roll Rumbles, Battle of the Burgers, Food Truck meet-ups, i could go on... but one great thing about living in Brooklyn is that right now it seems to be the incubator for new food trends, for entrepreneurs and chefs to develop their vision, serving as a launching pad where the toughest critics in the world -- New Yorkers -- will either embrace or poopoo them. That said, every summer Saturday, the best no-longer-kept secret happens right here on the Brooklyn waterfront by way of Smorgasburg. This outdoor culinary gathering -- not sure how else to describe it -- is something the hubs and I make sure to get to every time we're in town, as it's right down the street from us. All of this to say that this is where these pics were taken, and my spiel basically explains why I'm sipping on a Grady's and gnawing away at a giant turkey leg. If you're ever in the NYC area, it's a must try. PS October 1st what?!!??! It feels like summer!
