Subtle Luxury

Subtle Luxury. Such a simple concept, right? It seems so evident, but when pondering what my eye gravitates towards, it's not as easy as you'd think to come up with what describes the obvious. Those two words put together are like a perfect marriage: they seamlessly define something intangible, yet so concrete in that third dimension housing my thoughts. If I had to describe the aesthetic I find both inspiring and aspirational, it is precisely Subtle Luxury. So how can a label with that very moniker be anything less than utterly compelling and completely amazing? Known for their beautiful scarves, they also specialize in cashmere, of course. Their pieces are incredibly soft (unlike other brands that use the cheap kind), feel super luxurious, have tons of options that all encompass that easy, effortless appeal I find so irresistible.

Below I am wearing the California Cashmere Seamed Deep V Neck Sweater in Eggplant and I'm so taken with it, it's perfect in every way. The aubergine color has grey undertones and basically goes with absolutely everything. It's the only thing I want to have on my body this fall (I wear it, like, every day) and wasted to time taking it to the streets and giving it a little rock 'n roll twist, as I tend to do, pairing it with some vegan leather pants, as well as my new favorite Alex Wang boots. Subtle Luxury in the midst of fall foliage -- can you think of anything better? I certainly cannot.

Ah yes, "subtle luxury" is what I've been trying to aspire to sartorially the past few years but just never been able to describe it quite so articulately!! The Wang boots are pretty much perfection and who knew eggplant purple was such a wearable colour? Once again: outfit goals.
